Celebrate Local Talent: Vote for Your Favorite Artist in May!
May is here, and it’s time to celebrate the incredible local talent that makes our community so special! We’re thrilled to announce “Vote for Your Favorite Local Artist Month” at Purple Paisley Local Artisan Shop in Covington, KY. This month-long celebration is all about recognizing and supporting the talented artists who make our world more colorful, meaningful, and creative.
How It Works:
- Vote for Your Favorite Artist: During the month of May, stop by Purple Paisley and cast your vote. Browse the store and see whose work speaks to you. You can vote for up to two artists. Whether it’s a painter, sculptor, musician, poet, or any other form of artistic expression—you get to decide who shines the brightest! Simply pick up a voting slip in-store, fill it out with the artist’s name and a few words about why you love their work, and drop it in the box.
- Spread the Word: Help us make this event even bigger! Share the event with friends, family, and neighbors on social media or through word of mouth. The more people who participate, the more exciting and impactful the celebration will be!
- Voting Period: From May 1st through May 31st, you have the chance to vote for your Favorite Local Artist. Your vote counts toward crowning the artist who best represents the creativity and spirit of our community.
- Winner Announcement: At the start of June, we’ll announce the winner based on the number of votes received. The lucky artist will be celebrated with a special feature on our social media outlets. Their work will be prominently displayed at the front of the shop throughout June.
- Support Local Art: Voting is just the beginning! We encourage you to continue supporting local artists. Attend their shows, purchase their work, or simply share their talent with others. Don’t forget to give Purple Paisley a review on Google. Together, we can help our community’s artists thrive!
Last Year’s Winner: Dolores Fegan
We’re excited to continue this tradition of honoring our talented local artists, and we’d like to take a moment to celebrate last year’s winner, Fiber Artist Dolores Fegan! Dolores’ stunning textile art captured the hearts of the community. We proudly showcased her works at the shop entrance in June. Dolores’ creative use of fiber and fabric has inspired so many, and we’re excited to see who will take home the crown this year!

From paintings and photography to pottery, jewelry, and much more, our shop offers a dynamic collection of handcrafted art for the home and personal use.
