Located in the historic Renaissance District of Covington Kentucky, PURPLE PAISLEY, LOCAL ARTISAN SHOP is a curated handcrafted local art gallery. This venue showcases over 60 artists from the local Tristate area; Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.  Purple Paisley hosts a dynamic selection of beautiful and functional art for the home and the person.  The variety of types of and styles of art work available is broad.

Our artists offer various classes, demonstrations and related activities to the community to foster and enhance their love of creativity.  Our classes and events are designed to provide participants with direct experience in the creation and design process and to allow personal interaction with the artists. Get hands on experience in our small class sizes. See artists in action and watch first hand as a masterpiece come to life. Meet and converse with our wonderful artists and learn what motivates them.

Loretta Marie Helfrich created Purple Paisley to fill a need for a locale where established and emerging artists can show and sell their creations.  We are dedicated to supporting and encouraging the talented artists in our community.  The shop offers customers a diverse array of art and a specialized shopping experience.

Our mission is to broaden access to and provide education about arts and creativity. We work to build recognition and support for the extraordinary and dynamic value of the arts in our community, and to serve, and advance the individuals who create and contribute to the arts in our area.

We connect artists and leaders from the local arts communities with members of the community at large so that together we can work to ensure that all people in our neighborhood have access to the transformative power of the arts.  Building a strong network of fellow artists, art enthusiasts, and members of the public can open doors to new opportunities and collaborations.

Our goal is to empower artists new and old to enhance their lives through the creation and sale of unique, hand-crafted art. We encourage local artists to invest in themselves to create success.  We cultivate their innate creative talents, develop entrepreneurial skills, and develop teaching skills through public art classes.

• Summer Local Artisan Markets
• Meet and greet and artists in action events for local artists to show their art and share their motivations, skills and techniques.
• Art classes and workshops taught by talented local artists for patrons to get hands-on experience with drawing, painting, photography, ceramics, sewing, jewelry making and more
• A social media presence to celebrate art created in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky
