Discover the art of creating a No-Sew Scandinavian Star Ornament in this beginner-friendly holiday workshop with artist Kori Deller. During this hands-on class, participants will craft a beautiful fabric ornament inspired by the traditional folded Scandinavian paper stars that have remained popular for generations.
This two-hour workshop takes place on Saturday, October 10 at 11:00 AM. Each participant will create a double-sided ornament measuring approximately 6.5 inches. Because the ornament features two fabric designs, you can enjoy two different seasonal looks in one finished piece.
Kori will guide students step-by-step through the process. Participants will work with a selection of fabrics, bonding materials, an iron, and a hot glue gun to assemble their ornament. In addition, printed instructions will be provided so students can continue creating more ornaments at home for holiday decorating or handmade gifts.
What You Will Learn in the No-Sew Scandinavian Star Ornament Class
Throughout the workshop, students will learn how to:
- Select coordinating fabrics for a finished design
- Fold and assemble the ornament structure
- Use bonding materials for stability
- Safely work with an iron and hot glue gun
- Finish and display the completed ornament
Although this is a beginner-level class, participants should feel comfortable safely handling both an iron and a glue gun. Students must be at least 12 years old to attend.
The class atmosphere will be relaxed, welcoming, and creative. Whether you enjoy seasonal decorating, handmade gifts, or learning new craft techniques, this workshop offers an enjoyable introduction to Scandinavian-inspired ornament making.
