On January 13th, Nathan Klare, Kentucky Local Artist, will be at Purple Paisley, Local Artisan Shop bringing a new creation to life! He’ll also have an extensive collection of his amazing works available for purchase.
Haven’t had a chance to meet Nathan in person yet? This is a great opportunity to do just that! Speak with him about his motivations and what techniques he uses. You will even have the opportunity to see him creating a work of art in person.

About the artist Nathan Klare –
Nathan Klare is a fine art color pencil sketch artist. His works are inspired by a range of subjects including architecture, floral, and wildlife. Each of his works capture the intricacies of the subject and provide an up-close view with a high level of detail. His piece titled “Bridging the Ohio”, shown above, took about two months to create. As with all of his works, he simplified the composition before steadily building it up and refining it.
Over the course of his Art education, Nathan has used a variety of artistic mediums, but has found a specialty with the use of Prismacolor Colored Pencils. During his presentation, Nathan will exhibit his abilities with this medium. He’ll continue working on his current work in progress, “A Brief Respite,” which depicts a male Ruby Throated Hummingbird.
Nathan enjoys sharing his work with others, hoping to spread the joy he experiences whenever he creates a new piece. In addition to being a professional artist, Nathan shares his experience with others and works as a drawing instructor at Baker Hunt Art & Cultural Center.
