Our Snowflake Dotting Class brings holiday creativity to Purple Paisley with three wooden ornaments to decorate in your own style. Join us on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at 11:30 AM for a cheerful morning of dots, color, and handmade keepsakes.
Whether you enjoy traditional holiday colors or something unexpected, you can make each ornament reflect your personality. Best of all, you’ll explore a painting technique that starts with one simple dot.
Discover the Art of Dot Painting
Dot painting uses carefully placed dots to create decorative patterns. First, you’ll explore how different tools produce different dot sizes. Then, you’ll practice arranging those dots into designs that complement your wooden ornaments.
You’ll also learn how familiar household items can serve as dotting tools. As you experiment, you can combine larger dots with smaller accents for added interest. Meanwhile, the snowflake shapes offer natural starting points for repeating patterns.
You don’t need previous dot painting experience to join the fun. Instead, bring your curiosity and enjoy trying something creative.
What You’ll Create in Our Snowflake Dotting Class
Each participant will decorate three wooden ornaments: one dimensional ornament and two flat, double-sided snowflakes. The dimensional piece adds another shape to your holiday collection. In addition, the two-sided snowflakes give you more surfaces to personalize.
For inspiration, consider classic green and white, cheerful reds, or a color combination that suits your holiday decorations. You can repeat a pattern across your pieces or give each ornament its own character.
Afterward, display your creations on a holiday tree or share them as thoughtful handmade gifts. Either way, your ornaments will carry the personal touches you add during class.
