Local Artist Bob Bartolt will be onsite April 6th at Purple Paisley, Local Artisan Shop. Come meet him from 11am – 3pm. This is a great opportunity to meet Bob and discuss his unique process in making art.
During this event Bob will have an additional array of his works available to view, talk about and purchase. He will have all of his works on sale during this event. Also, he is doing a drawing for his work titled “Dots”.
Every shop purchase of $5.00 entitles you to an entry ticket for the drawing. The drawing will be held at 2:30 on April 6th. This a great opportunity to enjoy the visual pleasure of Bob’s colorful and creative works, speak with him about the individual pieces, and maybe win this original artwork.
Bob’s Art Process
Unique is the best word to describe local artist Bob Bartolt’s art work. He paints on canvas in a very unusual fashion. He applies spray paint to water and then “dips” the canvas. This process takes several applications and some various manipulations to obtain his final product. He also uses some mixed media to create his final artwork.
A second technique Bob uses is to block out color with everyday objects to create a graphic image or scene. This was the process used for the giveaway painting “Dots”. The process is just the opposite of regular painting. Details are blocked our first and the background color is the last piece to complete. Careful planning is needed for this technique.
About Local Artist Bob Bartolt
Bob has spent most of his life in the greater Cincinnati area. He went to high school in the area and received degrees in Architecture from both the University of Cincinnati and Miami University. After many years, he has finally retired but is doing some freelance work. This has provided him with more time to focus on his artwork and develop his skills. His love of precision and skills in design are evident in his works.
