SEPTEMBER FEATURED ARTIST – Eric Woodard

Eric loves finding art in the natural, historical, and ordinary.

Art has been in Eric’s life since he began drawing classes at the age of 6. More of a graphic designer, he gravitated toward a successful career in advertising on both the East and West Coasts after graduating from art school. His professional life has been quite eclectic, including both film and theater with some pretty famous names. He has also created oversized props for drag shows and pageants; designed holiday tableaus and life sized-dioramas in the grand mansions of Beverly Hills and Bel-Air; authored 3 books, and worked on numerous Marilyn Monroe projects as both researcher and expert.

Now, in his sixth decade, Eric has relocated to Covington. He says the small-town vibe reminds him of the towns in Central Florida where he was born and spent much of his life. He also finds that Covington’s history, architecture and variety of flora and fauna are continual inspirations.
