Your votes helped us recognize Tara’s incredible talent, creativity, and the meaningful impact she has made in our community. Tara’s vibrant and inspiring works are proudly displayed at the front of the shop all month long.
Tara Pugh is a mixed media artist. Her passion for art is matched only by her love for teaching and spiritual wellness. With over two decades of experience, Tara brings an eclectic, soulful approach to her work. She is best known for her mesmerizing mandala dot paintings, a meditative art form that invites both creator and viewer into a space of peace, intention, and joy. Her classes and tutorials on this technique have become a favorite at Purple Paisley. Her classes offer an accessible and fulfilling way for individuals to explore their own creativity.
BACKGROUND
A graduate of Miami University with a degree in education, Tara returned to her true calling—art—and hasn’t looked back since. She works with a wide range of materials. From acrylics to oils to watercolors. She often incorporates found and recycled objects into her pieces. Look closely and you might discover fragments of mirror, weathered wood, or river stones embedded in her work, making each piece a unique reflection of resourcefulness and vision.
Tara is not only an artist but also a Christian minister, Certified Reiki Master Teacher, and trained meditation guide. Her holistic approach to life flows into her art and workshops, where she encourages self-discovery, mindfulness, and healing through the creative process. Whether you’re taking one of her classes or admiring her art, Tara’s passion for connection and transformation is unmistakable.
